What is EBEC?

’European BEST Engineering Competition’ is an engineering competition in which, every year, the best students from technological specializations gather to compete in three different stages. The contestants also get the chance to get into touch with some of the biggest companies in the field.

Within EBEC teams made of 4 students from technological profiles, no matter the year they are in, are challenged by BEST or its partners to solve the one or more tasks in order to win the competition.

Case Study

In Case Study you will be challenged to solve a hypothetical case. The solution will have to follow a specific set of rules, presented on the day of the competition. The event will last 4 hours.

Team Design

In Team Design you will have to create a prototype, based on specification given on the day of the competition. The event will last 4 hours.

In IT Challenge you will have to create a program for Desktop/Web/Android. The program will have to follow a specific set of rules, presented on the day of the competition. The event will last 4 hours.

Engineering Competitions first took place in Canada. The Canadian Federation of Engineering Students created in 1985 the concept of competitions under the name of Engineering Competitions (CEC).
