What is EBEC Challenge?

EBEC( European BEST Engineering Competition) Challenge is an engineering event, organized by Board of European Students of Technology (BEST) and is the biggest real-time competition organized by and for european students. EBEC Challenge is open to students from all engineering fields through the Innovative Design or Case Study challenges, which will be held in teams of four participants.

The competition takes place over two stages: at a local level in every participating Local BEST Group, at a national level made up of the winners of the local stage. EBEC Challenge Brașov represents the local stage of the event. The tasks are given by the partner engineering companies.

Challenges

Case Study

Participants will analyze and solve a real problem from everyday life in society, without actually building a device or assembling materials, just developing a theoretical solution. At the end of the challenge, the team with the most innovative and practical idea will be declared the winner.

Innovative Design

The participants combine their creativity and knowledge to develop new technological designs or improve upon existing ones. Their professional presentation should demonstrate the technical, social, environmental, and economic impact of their design. In this way, while competing, participants can develop the right skills needed for today’s work market. The design’s production will take place in a CAD software of choice, therefore participants are required to bring their own laptops.

The three values we identify with and relate to are:

PASSIONATE: We use our expertise to get the best results.

PARTNERSHIP: We work together to achieve shared success.

PIONEERING: Curiosity and courage inspire our daily work.
